Dear Sixth Grade Student:

We hope you have a fun-filled and restful summer vacation. It was good to get a chance to meet you on "Step Up"day. We look forward to seeing you on the first day of school and anticipate sharing an excellent year.

We will let you know your specific schedule on the first day of school. As sixth graders, you will also participate in special events throughout the school year.

  • Three pocket folders with 3 hole fasteners  (math, science, & SS)
  • Loose-leaf white lined paper (three holes) for note-taking (reading)
  • A three holed pencil case
  • Blue, red pens; highlighter; pencils with cap erasers; colored pencils; crayons; markers for projects; 4 pack of dry erase markers; 1 package of Post It or Avery 2 inch angled durable sticky tabs
  • Erasers, scissors, a glue stick; a Metric/ U.S. ruler, hand-held pencil sharpener
  • Two large book covers- not the sticky kind or two large paper grocery bags

In sixth grade, organizational and study skills are even more important than ever. In addition, we expect excellent behavior from the “leaders” of the Donaghue School. Our goal is to prepare you well for middle school. What’s your goal?

We look forward to seeing you on Merrimac Goes Back to School night. Enjoy your summer.
